Translation (Meaning):

Glory be to the One who made this adventure accessible to us, and to our Lord we will return.

This dua reminds you that your adventure is by Allah’s will. It brings accord before continued flights and airport stress.

Dua when Entering Ihram

Ihram marks the official alpha of Umrah. Afterwards, change clothes and pray two rak‘ahs, accomplishing your intention.

Arabic Intention:

لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ عُمْرَةً

Meaning:

O Allah, I am actually able to accomplish Umrah.

Say it with focus. From this point, abstain from the banned accomplishments of Ihram.

Talbiyah: The Core Dua of Umrah

The Talbiyah is again throughout Umrah until Tawaf begins.

Arabic Talbiyah:

لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ، لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ، إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ، لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ

Duas During Tawaf

There is no anchored dua for the anniversary of Tawaf. This makes Umrah easier for first-time pilgrims.

  • Dhikr like SubhanAllah or Astaghfirullah

Between Rukn Yamani and the Black Stone

This is a Sunnah dua.

Arabic Dua:

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Meaning:

Our Lord, accept us acceptable in this world and acceptable in the Hereafter, and protect us from the Fire.

Dua at Maqam Ibrahim

After Tawaf, adjure two rak‘ahs abaft Maqam Ibrahim if possible. Then accomplish the huda. This is an able moment. Ask for forgiveness. Ask for acceptance of your Umrah. Keep your dua simple and heartfelt.

Duas During Sa’i (Safa and Marwah)

When extensive Safa, face the Ka‘bah and say:

Arabic Dua:

إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ

The accession is easy and you can accomplish a claimed dua. There is no specific dua for walking between Safa and Marwah. This makes Sa’i accessible for pilgrims from the USA who may be anxious about memorisation.

Dua While Cutting Beard (Halq or Taqsir)
